Change Management- Introduction

“To improve is to change, to perfect is to change often” – Winston Churchill

It is estimated that about 70% of all change initiatives fail. In business, however, to stand still is to ask to die. Why is it, despite a saturation of writings on the topic, do businesses struggle with change? What makes it so hard for their employees and constituents?

In this series, we will observe and study a few individuals and companies that have successfully undergone major changes. After we have learned from their experiences, we will go over tools used by large consulting firms to assess and plan for change.

At the moment you are akin to someone learning to fish for the first time in a large ocean. This series of videos is designed to narrow your focus and teach you to fish from a small pond. It is my hope that from these lessons you can take the principles you’ve learned to begin to implement and practice them in your daily personal and professional lives.

Once you’ve mastered these principles in a smaller setting, you’ll be able to begin to apply them to larger change initiatives.
